This report presents the results of the Heavy Reading Cloud Native 5G Core Operator Survey conducted in autumn 2022. The focus is on the 3GPP packet core, associated cloud infrastructure platforms, and end-user services. “Cloud native” is not tightly defined in the context of this report; however, it is generally taken to mean network functions (NFs) deployed in containers and centrally orchestrated. Published in January 2023, this is the second Heavy Reading survey on 5G core, with the first report published in March 2021.
